השתלבותם של בוגרי תכנית דמוקרטית במער כת החינוך
The integration of the graduates of the democratic program into the education system
מאמר זה מציג מחקר שבחן את השתלבותם במערכת החינוך של בוגרי התכנית להכשרת מורים לחינוך הדמוקרטי בישראל, המתקיימת במכללת סמינר הקיבוצים – המכללה לחינוך, לטכנולוגיה ולאמנויות. ארבעים בוגרים השיבו לשאלונים שעסקו בהשתלבותם בהוראה ובתרומתה של התכנית הדמוקרטית לעבודתם. לשנים עשר מהבוגרים נערכו גם ראיונות פתוחים בנושא. ממצאי המחקר העיקריים העלו כי 70% מהבוגרים השתלבו בעבודת הוראה, רובם בבתי ספר דמוקרטיים או בבתי ספר יסודיים או תיכוניים שיש בהם ליווי של המכון לחינוך דמוקרטי ישראל. לא נמצאו קשרים בין ההשתלבות בהוראה לבין מגדרו של הנבדק, המחזור שלמד בו או מסלול התמחותו. מרבית הנבדקים העריכו את התכנית הדמוקרטית כהתנסות שתרמה להצלחת השתלבותם בחיי העבודה וליישום עקרונות של החינוך הדמוקרטי בעבודתם.
Forty graduates of the democratic program implemented at a college of education completed questionnaires assessing factors of satisfaction with the program and with their practice. Twelve graduates also reported their own perceptions by means of individual open interviews. The findings indicated that a majority of the graduates were integrated into teaching mostly in democratic schools. No correlation was found between integration and the graduates' academic and personal backgrounds. Most of the graduates reported that the program contributed to the implementation of principles of democratic education in schools. The graduates also reported that they required additional knowledge for better supporting students with special needs.
