The research described in this article examined the integration of the MASHOV (Hebrew acronym for immediacy, transparency and control) Learning Management System in ten secondary schools during the 2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 academic years. The examination yielded a substantial increase in the number of entries by the teaching staff, pupils, and parents into the system for the purpose of sharing information by uploading everyday data and sending relevant messages. Some of the schools employed the MASHOV system for making contact with the pupils’ families, and a higher level of interactivity was measured among the teaching staff in those schools. The fact that the teaching staff uploaded a large quantity of data led to an increase in the number of entries into the system on the part of the pupils and their parents. Mothers entered the system almost three times as frequently as fathers, mastered the technology more rapidly, and – in order to keep abreast of everything concerning their children – were more "exploitative" of the teaching staff's willingness to upload everyday data.
