קהילות למידה מקצועיות של מורים ומורי מורים: הגדרות, יעדים, מאפיינים, דגמים וסוגי פעילות

This article creates a conceptual framework for the term "professional learning community (PLC)" of teachers and teacher educators. It links the activities conducted in the PLC for the teacher's professional development and for epistemological issues related to the teacher's personal practical knowledge. The article presents different definitions of PLCs, specifies the varied aims they serve, and describes their organizational patterns and the type of activities that are typical to them. The article concludes with a description of professional learning communities of teacher educators, which is the focus of this special issue.
